KhakiParivar Foundation was born from a simple yet powerful belief: service to society should never end with retirement from duty.
The Foundation was established by Mr. Swapnil Shivarkar, a former police force who dedicated over two decades of his life to serving the people of Pune,Maharashtra. Throughout his years in uniform, he witnessed not only the courage and sacrifices of police personnel but also the struggles faced by their families and countless members of the community.
While serving as a police, Mr. Swapnil Shivarkar realized that many social challenges–such as access to education, healthcare, emergency assistance, and community support–required continuous collective action beyond the responsibilities of government agencies.
Driven by this vision, he took Voluntary Retirement (VRS) after completing more than 20 years of distinguished service in the police force. His decision was inspired by a desire to dedicate himself full-time to public welfare and nation-building through community service.
This vision led to the creation of KhakiParivar Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to empowering communities through education, healthcare, disaster relief, environmental initiatives, youth development, women’s empowerment, support for senior citizens, and welfare programs for police personnel and their families.
The Foundation believes that every citizen has the power to make a meaningful difference. By bringing together volunteers, donors, professionals, and social organizations, KhakiParivar Foundation works to create lasting social impact built on compassion, integrity, and responsibility.
Today, the Foundation continues to grow with one clear mission—to serve humanity with the same discipline, dedication, and commitment that define the spirit of the khaki uniform.
